I swear the title is relevant, you just have to read through the whole thing mmkay?
Soooo... On Tuesday I hung out with some of the oddest, coolest, weirdest, most ridikulus (Harry Potter reference, sorry.) people ever. And by 'hang out' I mean we played zombie games. And by zombie games I mean Dead Space 2. And by played I mean I took five second turns in which I kicked my legs and screamed "Ohmigosh, NO! I don't like you, go away, go away, goawaygoawaygoawayyyyy!!!".... I think there may have been a few whimpers and nonsense words garbled in there as well--I honestly don't know. Ask Timothy or Jeneva. They were laughing at me the whole time. :P
But seriously. That game is sooo messed up. I was freaking out so much. Screaming. Jumping. Cowering against the couch. (Jeneva was cowering too, for the record. She had a corner she could retreat to. I didn't.) Ahaha, during chapter.... four? Or five. Whichever. There are these things called stalkers. I seriously think that was my longest turn. I was so freaking scared. Like.... when Jeneva and Timothy were playing, yeah, I was freaking out... but when I actually got the remote in my hands it was way different. I was suddenly the person in the game and it was my life on the line here.
...Is that weird...?
Anywho. I actually killed, like, two of them! :D It made me so happy. Then I died. And I wasn't happy anymore.
I got home after that, and watched some TV... Mum asked me to do the dishes, so I was all like 'Okay, sure' and I reached into my pocket for my iPod... but it wasn't there! D: I realized I had left it in the car. So.... I went towards the door, walked outside... and froze.
It was dark. Like... I couldn't see anything. And I thought, "Oh gingersnaps, Necromorphs hide in the dark." Hahaha, it's rather safe to say I didn't retrieve my iPod from the car until the morning. I'm such a coward. XD
Oh, and when I was walking down the (dark) hallway towards my room, I couldn't help but flinch everytime I walked by a door. :P
Ah... Dead Space... You've messed me up for life.

Interdigitating
My past week has been... amazing, inspiring, humbling, breaking, painful, beautiful, building... So many 'ing' words I could use and so little time. I guess I should start from the top.
Bigstuf was this week. And for those of you who have absolutely no idea what hey I'm talking about: Bigstuf is a youth conference for students from 7th to 12th grade. It's held over in Daytona Beach for four days--this year from the 18th til the 22nd of June.
Now that you're all caught up, I can continue.
Anyways. Bigstuf was this week, and I'll admit, I was a little apprehensive going in. I didn't know what to expect. Last year was just so... awesome. And I guess I was a little bit afraid that this year wouldn't be as good, wouldn't live up to my expectations.
Oh, how very wrong I was... This year was better than last. So much better.
It started out strong the very first night. I went up to The Pit (you know, up near the front of the stage) with Erica and Ruthie and sang at the top of my lungs.
The first song.
The very first. Freaking. Song. Something... something happened.
These are the lyrics:
You are holy,
Great and mighty
The moon and the stars,
Declare who You are...
And I was totally fine for all that. And thennnnnn....
I'm so unworthy,
But still you love me...
Boom. Something heavy is suddenly sitting in the pit of my stomach. The verse comes and I manage to pull myself together, but then we start to sing the above again, and my emotions just getting worse and worse.
(Okay, so maybe I can blame my emotional-ness on the fact that my hormones were so out of wack this week... but I really don't think that was it.)
I'm so unworthy,
But still you love me...
I'm so unworthy....
But still You love me...
It hit me so freaking hard. I'm so incredibly unworthy. I'm not fit to even stand before God and say 'Oh, yeah, totally, I'm a Christian'. I'm just not. But... He still loves me? But... I'm unworthy...
Can I just leave it at: I cried?
Anywho... Andy Stanley spoke that night. He gave his 'vampire' sermon again this year. XD You know, the one with 'drink my blood, eat my flesh' type deal. But the main point was: To whom shall I go? If not God then who? If not God then what?
He explained it like this: When we move away from something, we are always moving towards something else. When we move away from Christianity, we generally back away slowly... not knowing what it is we're turning to.
To whom shall I go?
Day two was beautiful. Andy spoke to us about relationships, and there are a few things in my notes that I'm just going to type up right here:
Promises are no subsitute for preparation.
The past is a better indicator than a promise.
Saying 'I do' does not make you cap-able, it makes you accountable.
The Paths people choos trump the commitments they make.
The present will be in the past, but it will be present in your future.
Instead of looking for the right person, focus on becoming the right person.

Are you the person the person you are looking for is looking for?
In the evening he spoke about appetites. These are my notes on that one:
The way you respond to your appetite can determine the quality and direction of your life.
You will rule your appetite or it will rule you.
Appetites: God created 'em, sin distorted 'em.
Appetites are never fully and finally satisfied.
Your appetite always whispers NOW, never LATER.
What is your bowl of stew? What are you trading your future for? Will you be willing to say 'no' and walk away? Don't trade your future for a bowl of temporary stew.
Day 3 we had Renee Yohe as our guest speaker. If you don't know who she is, she's the girl who inspired To Write Love On Her Arms. She spoke about hope. It was awesome.
That night, Andy was back and he spoke about discipline. The only really important thing in my notes is this:
When you rebel against God, you will do stupid things.
On Thursday, Justin Bieber's mother came to talk to us. Now, I was expecting her to talk about her son, but he was barely mentioned. She talked about herself and gave us her testimony. So many things had gone wrong around her... She had been rejected by her father, her friends, men... and she soon found herself pregnant at eighteen. And the whole time she was asking herself: What is wrong with me? What is wrong with me? What is wrong with me?
She gave us a challenge.
She challenged us that... whenever we feel the need to ask ourselves 'What is wrong with me'... she challenged us to ask ourselves instead, "What is RIGHT with me?"
On Thursday night. Judah Smith came to preach. This is where the post-title comes in.
It started out all happy and stuff. He was makinga few jokes, having some fun. He told us about his very first date.
He considered himself rather smooth with the ladies... kind of. He had never been on a date before, never actually done anything exclusive with a girl. So... he asked his youth leader's permission to hold hands with the girl he was going on a date with.
The date had gone really well, he thought, and they were walking home. Now, he had expected the whole holding hands thing to go like it does in the movies. You know, when the guy puts his hand down, then the girl puts her hand down and suddenly they're just holding hands. Well... it didn't go down that way.
Judah just awkwardly stopped. And they stood there, looking at each other. Because he was so incredibly good with the ladies, well, he blurted out in her face, while extending his hand towards her like an idiot: "PASTOR JUDE SAID I COULD HOLD YOUR HAND."
Well, it was kind of weird for a second, but they did hold hands.... Actually, they didn't just hold hands. They Interdigitated. You know, when your fingers twine together and crap? He described it as: "Fourth of July fireworks in January". He then proceeded to sing "A Whole New World" (on stage, of course, not to his date).
..I'm fairly certain that story had absolutely nothing to do with anything at all, but it was good anyways.
His real message was that God. Is. Enough.
For everything.
And you know what?
I walked away from that camp today not thinking, not hoping, but knowing that God. Is. Enough.
I arrived at that camp uncertain and afraid.
I left it confident and sure.
Goodnight.

I should be writing...
...so obviously, I'm doing anything other than that.
Hahaha, yeah, I should totally be writing an update to both LtbB and RMS right now, but I'm blogging instead because I've a terrible case of procrastination that I can't seem to shake.
I don't think I'll ever be able to grasp the point of blogging. This feels like rambling to me. Pointless rambling that you people read for no apparent reason. Is my life really that interesting or are you just to hopelessly bored out of your mind that you're sitting in front of your computer screen only half-reading the words that are stretched across your field of vision?
Don't answer that question.
Ah bro... I hate Tumblr. XD
Yep, after about a week and half of it I'm so freaking sick of it that I deleted my account. Booyah.
OhOHOHOHOH! Did I tell you yet? We have chicks!!! They're so cute and fluffly! I just want to pick them and hug them forevers and evers. That being said, they hate me. :P *le sigh* Oh well, my dog likes me, so that's got to count for something.
"I'm feeling sexy and freeeeeeee! Like glitter's raining on meeee!"
Sorry. That song just came on the radio, and I couldn't resist.
I have so many random ADD moments during my day... Jeez, you wouldn't believe it. I'll be at BCC and I'll be ranting about how much I hate that place, when I'll just randomly think of something and go off and a completely different train of thought, and Suzy, who is usually with me, will look at me all funny, and I'll realize that I just switched trains without letting her know. I chased a squirrel at BCC because I lost my train of thought.
...yeah.
Dude! This may be one of my longest blogs yet! I know it can't beat those depressing-rant ones from.... last year? but I can sure as heck try toooooo!
WOOOOOO!
Okay, I give up.
Imma go write now, like I'm supposed to.
Ciao, babes(;

Why Am I Doing This?
So, I've got a rather embarassing confession for you all today:
I... I've been fangirling all weekend.

It's really terrible actually. XD I recently discovered Tumblr... and 1D Tumblr blogs.
Oh. My. Goodness.

Bahahaha, but seriously. I've been just trolling on these fan-blogs non-stop for, like, the past few days... Oh, I am so ashamed of myself. >.<"
But, seriously, I like One Direction. Yes, they're a boyband. Problem? It's almost impossible for me not to smile when I see them:

So... yeah.
Don't you worry, it hasn't taken over my life. Even now I can feel myself getting tired of them... or at least of fangirling. I still like their music. A lot.
I flip when I hear them on the radio.
That's probably a bad thing.
Oh well.

Enjoy some of my favorite 1D gifs(:

Catching Fire
Guess what's happening in this blogpost???
If you guessed dancing with rainbow unicorn-riding leprichauns then you've come to the wrong blog, and I suggest you move on immediately.
Nay, this is another one of those picture-reation thingies that I did for the Hunger Games.
Let's get this party started.
So... it starts out with Katniss really confused, she's all like:

So... it starts out with Katniss really confused, she's all like:
Mostly because she's got the problem most teenage girls do: boys.
Have I mentioned both boys vying for her affections are rather attractive? I mean, check these beats out!
I'm sorry, I've gone and lapsed into a moment of shallow-ness. I'll do my best to make sure it doesn't happen again...
Anyways, she's confuzzled about her feelings for the both of them. Mostly because she's all cynical about the whole 'love' deal... or is she? O.O
Both dudes are uber-mega different.
Gale:
Is a little more fiery. He breaks the rules to make sure the ones he loves are safe and taken care of. Even if it means terrible collateral damage (this comes into play more in MockingJay, but it's still true of him in Catching Fire).
He works in the mines and has had a hard life. He also didn't realize his feelings for Katniss until he was around 16...
Peeta:
Peeta is a baker's son. And, while his life hasn't exactly been ideal, it's still been better than Gale's. He works in his father's bakery frosting the cakes and cookies. He's more sweet and tender, and genuinly cares for everyone's well being over his own. He would sacrifice himself for the ones he loves anyday.
He realized his feelings for Katniss when he was 5 years old.
Personally, I'm Team Peeta.
I would go in-depth about why and all, but that would contain many spoilers... so... yeah. :P
MockingJay thingy is next... prolly won't happen until tomorrow or so...
Ciao, my beautifuls!

Darn you, fictional people...
So, last night, I finished Catching Fire, the second book in The Hunger Games trilogy. And let me tell you... that book just brought on a bunch of mixed emotions.
I laughed...
I teared up...
I shouted at pages...
Yeah, I get emotional when it comes to books.
Oh yes, and I now approve of this guy:

to play Peeta Mellark.
A parting question:
Why can't fictional character-boys be real? ;_;

Filthy Muggle...
So... I started reading The Hunger Games, last night.
And let me tell you... it was amazing.
Seriously. I totally devoured that first book. And here.... here is my reaction totally in Harry Potter pictures, you ready for this?
So for the first few chapters, I was all like:
And let me tell you... it was amazing.

Then I got further into it and I was like:
I MUST FINISH THIS BOOK
And by the end I was all:
GIVE ME THE NEXT BOOK, YOU FILTHY MUGGLE, OR SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES!!!!
Anyways, I'm onto the last book: MockingJay now, and I'll probably do one of these for each, because they're just that amazing.
Stay beautiful! <3
